Current Projects

Your Mechanic – Mountain View, Calif.

Your Mechanic provides auto services at your home or work. The company’s highly trained experts come to you to do minor work, such as change your oil, or major work, such as performing major engine maintenance. Robinson Marketing provides extensive writing support for Your Mechanic. Some of the topics we’ve covered include “How to pick a car for a teen age driver,” “How to know if your car is being recalled,” and “How to winterize your car.”

FileCloud – Austin, Texas

FileCloud provides software that allows employees who work in different locations to instantaneously share files through a central and security repository. For example, if an employee is in Texas gathering information about a customer, he or she can instantly upload load it to their company’s servers and anyone can access the file instantly. FileCloud is an ideal solution for small-to-medium size businesses, and managed service providers. Robinson Marketing writes press releases and customer success stories for FileCloud.

Alzheimer’s Speaks – Minneapolis, Minnesota

Alzheimer’s Speaks is a grass-roots advocacy group that teaches families and professional caregivers how to work together when a patient is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Robinson Marketing and Public Relations helps Alzheimer’s Speaks promote its weekly radio shows, garner coverage in media outlets that serve the upper Midwest, author blogs and build its social media presence on Facebook and Twitter. In January 2012 Alzheimer’s Speaks and the state of Wisconsin partnered to stage a series of workshops for families and public health facilities so that the respective groups could learn from each other about changing and on-going needs for dementia patients and their families. Robinson Marketing and Public Relations promoted the workshops to local media throughout the state.

On an on-going basis Robinson Marketing writes press releases and blogs for Alzheimer’s Speaks.

Unify – Sacramento, California

Robinson Marketing and Public Relations implemented a media campaign with top tier publications and third party influencers to rebuild the company’s credibility in the marketplace after Unify’s former CEO was convicted of insider trading. As a result the company’s stock price plummeted to less than $1.70 after his arrest and conviction. The media campaign focused on branding the new CEO and the sweeping changes he implemented to ensure that all financial information was accurate, retain customers and cut costs. As a result of the media efforts, the CEO was named Chief Executive of the Year by the ABA and within 18-months the stock price hit $3.70.

Robinson Marketing and Public Relations also implemented an extensive media campaign to reintroduce the company’s application development tools and application modernization products to the marketplace. In addition, a brand new application modernization product targeting the Lotus Notes market was introduced to the trade press and industry analysts. This was significant because legacy applications written for Lotus Notes are very difficult to modernize, the projects require months to complete and can cost millions.

Daegis – San Francisco, California

Beginning in 2010 Robinson Marketing and Public Relations worked with the company to implement a domestic public relations campaign targeting business press, and trade publications that cater to legal professionals. We wrote daily blogs as a way to reach industry influencers who aren’t part of the mainstream media. We also helped the company implement other social media campaigns on Twitter and Facebook to help build the company brand.

Zmanda – Sunnyvale, California

Zmanda provides open source backup and recovery tools for companies that save data to the cloud. Zmanda’s products are built using standard software development tools so that customers are not locked into proprietary solutions. Beginning in 2008 we implemented a public relations campaign both in the United States and Japan targeting IT managers who were responsible for corporate data storage. We used a combination of media outreach, customer success stories, analyst reports and social media to communicate Zmanda’s message.
